Social Events

As well as many opportunities to learn and share experience and knowledge, Farnham u3a also offers you the chance to enjoy the company of fellow members just for fun. These include regular quizzes and cuppa-and-a-chat mornings as well as other one-off events.

Quizzes

We run six quizzes a year – again an informal flavour with the emphasis on fun. You are equally welcome to come and join a scratch team on the night or as a ready made team of six. They are held in the evening, usually at The Maltings, doors open at 6 pm and the quiz runs from 6.30-9 pm. As these are popular you will be asked to book in advance. There is a fee to cover catering costs.

Cuppa-and-a-chat

Once a month you are invited to drop in to the Reception Café at The Maltings for a Cuppa-and-a-Chat.

These sessions run every month from 10-12 midday and are very informal – please come and go as suits you. All are welcome – both members and non members – so do bring a friend or neighbour along. It’s a good way of finding out more about Farnham u3a, catching up on what is happening or simply giving us some feedback.

We are also planning some other social events in the coming year. Details to be circulated nearer the time!

The dates for all these events are on Events calendar on the website and the noticeboard in the corridor of the Maltings. There are also reminders via eNews and ‘all member’ emails.
