Political Hot Spots

The world has many hot spots where inter-state conflict (or serious mass communal violence inside a state) occurs. Some will have a bearing on British security and/or trade interests. The purpose of the Political Hot Spots group is to learn about and discuss these events and possibilities. Initially we will look at the work of the UN and regional organisations in promoting international peace and security. Then we will look at various Hot Spots, group members taking turns to present, in a non biased way, a short introduction to the subject before group discussion.
