Welcome to Farnham u3a
Whether you have been a member of another u3a, or are new to the u3a movement, we are delighted to welcome you to Farnham u3a.
Since our formation in 1991, we have grown to be a dynamic organisation offering more than 120 special interest groups and classes, ranging from the academic to the purely social. Full details of groups and other events are available in the Programme and on our website.
In addition to the regular group activities, the following are open to all members:
- a Monthly Meeting with a variety of topics and speakers
- a Themed Meeting once per month; with a different theme chosen each year.
- Cuppa and a Chat
- Quiz evenings
We are very fortunate to have Farnham Maltings as the venue for these open meetings and most of our indoor group activities.
Farnham u3a is run by members for members and our greatest asset is the rich pool of knowledge and talent we have within our membership. Group Leaders, Secretaries and other Volunteers are the backbone to a successful u3a. Their time, effort, knowledge and expertise are essential to making the organisation work.
If you would like to contribute either individually or as part of a team, please get in touch. It is important to have fresh inputs and ideas, so please feel free to contact us if you have any thoughts on how we can improve what we do.
When you join the Farnham u3a you will receive this welcome letter, your digital membership card and a link to our annual programme which lists all our activities. Changes do occur to the programme after it is printed so it’s always worth checking the Programme on our website for the latest information.

We host new member welcome receptions from time to time and you will receive your invitation to this event via email. Until then we hope that you will enjoy being part of Farnham u3a and find it as friendly, interesting and stimulating as we all do.
